Chemistry
• is based on the principles and requirement of the Framework Basic Education Programme
• respects the tradition of chemistry as an independent school subject but in the same time tries to incorporate cross-curricular links as much as possible
• also utilizes both the pupils' school and out-of-school knowledge and experience
• contains themes the contemporary society considers essential and topical

In 2008, the textbook for 8th grade was awarded a Gold Award for the Best Basic School Textbook at the Frankfurt International Book Fair.
